What $1 million will buy you in San Mateo

Once in while I get time to play around on the internet. When I need some new ideas, I turn to Stumbleupon or Etsy.

I love to be crafty so I always think I can make everything but with limited time and the prices on Etsy being so fabulous it’s faster to get out the Visa card.  If you need a unique gift – especially since Valentine’s Day is coming up – give Etsy a try.

Back to the new idea
I ran into this post on Stumbleupon about what you can buy for a million bucks across the U.S.; and of course San Mateo wasn’t included.  Believe it or not, there’s just three houses between 950k and 1.1 million – well, 949.

Why list your house for 949,000?  Anyone searching is likely to start with 950 so how many times is your house going to be missed in search?

1810 Canyon Oak Court

Canyon Oak Court is 3 bedrooms with 2.5 bathrooms.  2,010 square feet of living space; lot size of 4,860. Listed by Simin Hashemi of Coldwell Banker.

1431 Alameda De Las Pulgas

Alameda is 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths.  The living space is 1,820 square feet; lot size is 5000 square feet.  The home is listed by Sonia Sester of Coldwell Banker.

1311 Palm Ave

This is a perfect example of a California Bungalow.  It’s as cute on the outside as it is on the inside.  And if you love Shabby Chic you’ll fall in love with it as soon as you open the door.  It’s clean, light, bright and has been nicely updated with double pane windows, hardwood floors, crown molding.

Palm is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home of 1,709 square feet.  The lot is 5200 square feet.  The property is listed by Patricia Dwyer of Coldwell Banker.
