The Least Expensive of San Mateo Real Estate
The least expensive house that sold in San Mateo in 2010 was 145 15th Avenue.  This 1000 square foot, 2 bedroom, 1 bath Hayward Park home sold in October for $420,000; 29,000 under its asking price.

High end of San Mateo Real Estate
507 Dorchester is the most expensive home to sell in 2010 beating out the next highest – 121 West Bellevue – by $700,000.  At 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and over 4000 square feet of living space Dorchester sold for $3.6 million – $5,000 over its asking price.

24o Ramona – poor little house – was on the market for an unbelievable 875 days!  After 12 price changes this 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home sold for $360,000.

The Totals
A total of 532 houses sold in San Mateo last year.  51 were short sales; 50 were REO’s.  That’s a surprisingly low number with all the news hype.
