I work too much. I’m driven – sometimes I drive myself right into the ground. I thought two of my priorities were to get a life and volunteer, except that all I was doing was talking about it.
Chris and I work together and while we’re working we come up with some pretty stupid ideas – occasionally, though, a good one finds its way into the silliness.
Better San Mateo MeetUp is one of the good ones: Eat and donate while having a great time. Each event is designed to benefit a local charity. Last night Chef Edwin of CreoLa hosted us for the Great American Dine Out. (If you haven’t been to CreoLa yet, you’ve got to. The food was fantastic!) And you’ve got five more days to find a restaurant that’s participating in giving to this kid-focused cause.
We’ve got another fun night planned at Pomodoro October 22nd on behalf of Shelter Network and are working on scheduling another before then. So if you’re overworked (or not) and want to get out from behind that computer, join us. We’d love to have you.
