Pacifica Beach Warnings to Remember

The California coastal beaches can be extremely dangerous, especially during King Tides, storms or other weather phenomenon  like atmospheric rivers. Do not take warnings lightly. Check the local weather and tide chart before venturing out to the waters edge.

1.  Never turn your back on the ocean.
2.  Always look for posted warning signs.
3.  Do not cross road blocks or street barriers.
It may look safe and fine; however, sneaker waves will knock you down and drag you down the street or pull you into the water.
4.  Do not walk on the waters edge!  Again, sneakers waves have taken several lives.

5.  If your dog is swept into the ocean do not follow to save him!  Your dog will find its way back to shore.  You may not.
6.  Heed the warnings of locals!
7.  Do not climb on rocks past the shore or cliff sides.
